Congratulations Jenny, Colin and volunteers on such a wonderful outcome- we are all very proud of you!
WA Kidney Kids Capers
On day one the group headed to Adventure World where families had the opportunity enjoy the rides and water slides!
The days were jam packed with fun activities for the kids having fun with the Barking Gecko team, Team Works Australia and adventures like roller skating and rock climbing and puppetry.
LotteryWest sponsored 50% subsidy of total costs.
Henry Giblett Adult Holiday Dialysis Program - held annually in Busselton, WA
Founded in 1995 in memory of Henry Giblett who offered a holiday home in south-west Busselton equipped with a haemodialysis machine, for people to have a break from the daily grind at their renal unit.
KHA dialysis services are done at the St John's Ambulance Centre, opposite Busselton Hospital. Sixteen families enjoyed these six days at camp. Family activities include welcome dinner, excursions to Wonky Windmill Farm and Eco Park, Busselton Drive-In, pizza night, bush tucker tasting -the list goes on.
This Adult Holiday Dialysis Program is sponsored by LotteryWest who also support our Kids Capers
KHA funds accommodation and organises dialysis facilities needed for patients on holiday. Many families are unable to take holidays because of dialysis - a dialysis driven timetable affects the whole family, not just the patient.
Our WA Office needs your help to expand patient support programs!
