Kidney Health Australia Finalist in Three Queensland Health Awards

Exciting news in Queensland! In 2009, Bridget Aherne, CNC at the Cairns Dialysis Unit, and Beth Richardson submitted an abstract to the QLD Healthcare Improvement Awards in regards to the Kidney Health Australia Consumer Education Forum which was hosted in Cairns in June 2009.

This Forum was driven by consumers, who worked in partnership with Bridget and Beth to execute the event, and who formed an on-going education and support group following the Forum.

These Healthcare Awards honour innovative practices and programs in various categories- including consumer partnership.

Kidney Health Australia is a finalist for the following three awards:

* Director General's Award
* Deputy Premier's Award
* Award for Consumer Partnership: Improving Healthcare Together

The awards will be announced in May.
