Hi Georgie, hope everything is ok...I got a call from my hospital this morning saying my operation was being put off until the 24th of Oct...i said ok with a really annoyed voice...got of the phone and absolutely went off my head, ive been stressing out for days...i just wont it over and done with...so im ready when the time comes to start, but an hour after that call they rang back and said it was still happening this monday the 3rd. oct..what a relief, I got a new set of front top teeth today and im in complete agony at the moment because the strong pain relief im on which is only a small dose for my back is not even taking the pain away...Have also seen a neurologist about tremors and she is booking me in for some test where they put things on my head lol, ive had the ct on my head and all that showed up was really blocked sinuses, now i no why i always feel like im getting a cold.Still dealing with all the other usual symptoms....just trying to chill out...but its impossible...also have to have a scan of my back to see what is causing the pain,, also now geting spasms in my back and pins and needles which feels really odd...But anyway hope youre still chugging along..and i will let u know how the next attempt goes with the new fistula...Chers Bella.

hi bella, that is such good news that your getting your fistula built on monday yay !!! about time !!! it was also good to read you saying that you are ready to start dialisis sounds like you have 'turned the corner' so to speak , that is just fabulous bella .... once you start dialisis you will feel soooooo much better and once you do start to feel really well again you will wonder 'how the hell did i cope so long running on dirty toxic blood'!!!! .... Im really happy for you bella and releived , I know dialisis is a "right royal pain in the #*!* " but it does give back some quality in your life .... I dont know too much about hemo as I did PD , after I had the catheter inplanted they started dialisis that night , I believe they usually wait a week for the surgery to settle but I was just too toxic , what happens with the fistula do you start dialisis straight away or is there a settling time ??? ...... you mentioned pins and needles , Im pretty sure that high levels of urea can cause pins and needles ???? so it may not be associated with your back problem but renal ??? just a thought ..... My kidneys are getting a tad sluggish am not sure if its because I have been doing too much and the fatigue has effected the kidney function or weather it means that they are starting to crash , I hardly pee at all thru the day a couple table spoons but in the morning I do have a full bladder and its that full bladder keeping me alive but for the past two mornings I awaken with only half a bladder of pee ??? not good so I have been on bed rest to see if it was just because I had over done it , should know more by monday , if I am still only getting half a bladder after 4 days rest then I will assume from there its esrf but until then I wont fuss to much as all the fussing in the world wont change my outcome so I intend to just keep plodding along quietly ....... you take care bella , and I wish you all the luck for monday , and am sooooo thrilled that finally things are moving forward for you , stay strong and hopeful ..... hugs georgie

Hi, Sorry to hear the kidneys are being sluggish, With the creation of the fistula it take up to 4 to six weeks to heal and start maturing, well thats what ive been told anyway, im a tad nervous as the last one , well didnt if work from the start, and knowing my luck this one will not work either!.Im having some tension andsoreness between the thumb and wrist since the last av fistula was attempted at elbow i will have to remember to tell them.Havnt had scan on back yet but its supposed to be before next renal appointment in 3 wks also waiting the other test on my head, cannot think what its called lol...I read that you are having little urine out put, i experience that too ...what goes in deffinetly dont come out,, and when i usually go theres no pressure and it dribbles a little bit out, only go 2 times a day.. I know the pressure of my urine is from the bladder not kidneys, but i still dribble when i go,, i am suffering with a lot of fluid on legs during the day and hands in the morning..I dont think the Drs think i need to start yet, but i hate it knowing i have too feel sicker than i do now and its a right pain the ###, i dont want to feel that week i cant even move before they say ok its time...I am so over everything at the moment...my emotions are still everywhere,I told my husband and mother that they are not aloud to come to hospital with me this time because last time when coming out of anaesthetic, i said some really nasty stuff to them and a patient in next bed and nursing staff i also wished i was dead..i had no control... and my husband and mother told me what i said and that i looked like a gorilla in cage ..All the best Georgie, i better get of here and fight these restless legs and get some sort of sleep...before tomorrow...Cheers Bella
